These oversized cardboard Easter eggs sit within our sculptural range and are designed to bring a sense of scale, colour, and play into a space.

They’re often used as hero pieces in seasonal activations, retail displays, exhibitions, and public installations where you want something that feels instantly recognisable but still completely custom to your brand or concept.

At their simplest, they’re bold sculptural forms. At their best, they become photo moments, storytelling pieces, or part of a larger themed environment.

How These Cardboard Sculptures Work

Internally, the structure is engineered to hold its shape while remaining lightweight enough for transport and install. Depending on size, they can be built in sections so they’re easier to move through doors, lifts, or exhibition halls.

The outer surface is then finished based on the design. This could be clean raw cardboard, printed wraps, painted finishes, or layered detailing depending on the look you’re going for.

For larger eggs or public environments, we factor in stability and weighting during the design stage so they feel solid and safe in high-traffic spaces.

Customisation and Branding Options

Shape, Size and Scale

These can range from small tabletop pieces through to large-scale sculptures over 2 metres tall.

Proportions can be adjusted depending on where they’ll sit in a space. Some projects call for tall, narrow forms while others lean into wider, more exaggerated shapes.

Colours, Graphics and Finishes

There’s a lot of flexibility here depending on the outcome you want:

  • full printed graphics wrapped around the form
  • solid colour finishes
  • layered cardboard textures for a more natural look
  • branded messaging, patterns, or illustrations

Because these are often used in seasonal campaigns, we regularly design them to align with broader brand palettes rather than default Easter colours.

Structural and Interactive Options

These don’t have to be static objects.

We can build in:

  • openings or cut-outs for interaction
  • split eggs or “cracked” forms
  • integrated shelving or product display elements
  • lighting features
  • modular sets of multiple eggs that work together

They can sit on their own as a statement piece or be part of a larger cardboard event installation.

Sustainability

These sculptures are designed with low-impact materials and reuse in mind.

They’re primarily made from responsibly sourced cardboard, which is widely recyclable and has a much lower environmental footprint than many traditional build materials.

Because they’re lightweight, transport requirements are reduced, which helps minimise emissions during delivery and bump-in.

For multi-use campaigns, we can design them to be packed down, re-skinned, or adapted for future activations rather than starting from scratch each time.

As a studio, we’re part of a broader shift towards more responsible production in events and exhibitions. Businesses are increasingly expected to consider their environmental and social impact, and working with materials like cardboard is one way to move toward that without compromising on creativity or visual impact .

Ideal Applications

These cardboard sculptures work well across a range of environments:

  • retail activations and seasonal window displays
  • shopping centre installations
  • brand activations and campaigns
  • exhibitions and public installations
  • theatre and set design
  • photo moments and social media content spaces
  • community events and workshops

They’re especially effective where you want something recognisable, playful, and highly visual that draws people in.

FAQs

Can they be reused for future events?

Yes. Many projects are designed with reuse in mind. We can create versions that pack down, or that can be re-skinned with new graphics for future campaigns.

Can we customise the design to match our brand?

Completely. Colour, graphics, scale, and form can all be tailored. These are not off-the-shelf pieces, they’re built around your concept.

Do they need to be freestanding or fixed down?

Most are designed to be freestanding with internal weighting if needed. For high-traffic areas or outdoor use, we can explore additional stabilisation options.

Can they be shipped interstate?

Yes. We regularly design builds in sections so they can be flat-packed or transported efficiently and assembled onsite.

How long does production take?

It depends on size and complexity, but typically ranges from a couple of weeks to longer for larger or highly customised builds. Tight timelines can often be worked around if needed.
