The giant cardboard pineapple sits somewhere between sculpture, signage, and photo moment.

It’s a bold, recognisable shape that immediately draws attention, which makes it a strong fit for brand activations, exhibitions, retail environments, and event entry points. It can be playful, premium, or somewhere in between depending on how it’s finished.

We’ve built versions as centrepieces, oversized props, and branded installations. It works well when you want something that feels a bit unexpected but still intentional within the space.

How It Works

The structure is built from layered cardboard components that lock together to create the full pineapple form.

Because everything is designed in-house, the proportions can be adjusted. You’re not locked into one exact size or shape.

Customisation and Branding

Size and Scale

Giant pineapples can range from smaller feature pieces around 1.5m high through to large-scale installations over 2m.

The scale usually depends on the space and how far away it needs to be seen from. Exhibition halls and outdoor activations tend to suit larger builds, while retail or indoor spaces may work better with something more contained.

Colours and Finish

The finish can completely change the feel of the piece:

  • natural kraft cardboard for a raw, textured look
  • full colour print for brand alignment
  • layered detailing to emphasise the pineapple texture

Branding Integration

Branding can be subtle or front and centre:

  • logos integrated into the body
  • printed messaging panels
  • surrounding signage or plinths
  • pairing with other cardboard display structures

Structural Variations

The pineapple doesn’t have to stand alone:

  • cut-out sections to create entry or walkthrough moments
  • integrated shelving or product display zones
  • paired sculptures to frame a space
  • added elements like leaves exaggerated for scale or shape

Sustainability

Like all of our cardboard event installations, the giant pineapple is designed with reuse and end-of-life in mind.

The structure is made from responsibly sourced cardboard that can be recycled after use. For many projects, the outer layer can be replaced while the internal structure is reused across multiple builds.

Because the material is lightweight, transport is more efficient, which helps reduce the overall footprint of the installation.

We’re part of a wider movement of businesses working towards more responsible production and material use, where environmental impact, transparency, and long-term thinking are part of how projects are delivered

For clients, this means you can create something visually impactful without relying on heavy, high-waste materials that are often used for temporary builds.

Ideal Applications

The giant cardboard pineapple works best when it has space to stand out.

Common uses include:

  • trade show feature pieces
  • brand activations and campaign launches
  • retail window displays or in-store installations
  • festival and event photo moments
  • exhibition centrepieces
  • themed environments or stage design

It’s especially effective when you want something that people naturally walk towards, photograph, and interact with.

FAQs

How strong is it?

Stronger than most people expect. The internal structure is engineered to handle public environments, including busy events. It’s not designed for climbing, but it holds up well as a freestanding installation.

Can it be reused?

Yes. Many builds are designed so the internal structure can be reused, with the outer finish updated for different campaigns or events.

Can it be shipped interstate?

Yes. Larger pieces are usually designed in sections so they can be flat-packed or transported efficiently and assembled onsite.

How long does it take to build?

Timing depends on size and finish. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks but the earlier you inquire the better

Can we customise the shape or style?

Definitely. The pineapple is more of a starting point than a fixed design. We can adjust proportions, exaggerate features, or integrate it into a larger installation.

Can it be printed with branding?

Yes. Full colour printing, logos, and messaging can all be applied to the surface depending on the look you’re after.
